Reporting to you live from TED2023 in Vancouver!
The theme for this week-long event is all about POSSIBILITIES.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect.
The past few years have pushed us as leaders.
Think of all the things that once seemed impossible that have now become possible.
But, this is not the time to stop dreaming, reimagining, and pushing the limits of what’s possible.
In today’s ever-changing hybrid world of work, we’re continuing to face impossibly difficult decisions, and more times than not, we’re making it up as we go along.
On top of everything, we’re all trying to navigate the transition from Chief Executive Officer to Chief Engagement Officer.
The good news?
None of us are alone.
As leaders, we’re naturally dreamers who crave the challenge of making the impossible possible.
When you stop thinking of other leaders as competitors and instead see them as collaborators, that’s when we can lift up each other and our organizations.
That’s a win-win.
So what's the winning secret sauce?
That’s a recipe that we all have to keep tinkering with every day.
What I do know is that we’ll go a lot further (and a lot faster) if we work together.
It takes vulnerability and authenticity. Isn’t that what everyone wants to give and receive from others?
That’s the kind of trust that fuels the growth we need to thrive, not just survive.
You know the saying that “sharing is caring?”
There’s no need to be afraid of sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly.
This is something I’ve been preaching for 20+ years, and more recently, more leaders are learning to open their eyes, heart, and mind to this idea.

Of course, we’ve all been to conferences or company meetings where everyone is buzzing – and then the momentum fizzles out in the coming days, weeks, and months.
That’s not going to happen here.
