Talent WarGiven the uncertainty in our economic growth, you might think that companies would put a hold on hiring new employees… but, that is not the case…

A 2012 Harvard Business Review survey found that the majority of more than 1,000 corporate directors said they are hiring or plan to hire in double-digits. And more recently (and more locally), the Baltimore Business Journal posted an article stating that more than 100 companies they spoke to have immediate hiring plans—totaling hundreds of open jobs in the Baltimore metro area alone.

So, what does this mean? It means the war for talent is on!

Because so many organizations are looking for new employees to help grow their company, the landscape for recruiting and retaining talented individuals is becoming increasingly competitive.

As the talent war has escalated over the past ten years, entreQuest has proven that company growth begins with talent acquisition.

Talent acquisition goes beyond recruiting good talent. It involves helping business leaders understand and tell their story in order to attract the RIGHT talent. Through our proprietary screening, hiring, and on-boarding system, entreQuest eases the hiring process for small to mid-sized businesses and helps them acquire the type of talent necessary for sustainable growth.

We wrote the book on business growth—literally, our New York Times best-selling book, Grow Regardless, defines strategic growth, change management, and organizational development—three key factors in retaining employees and building a successful organization.

More recently, we’ve written a series of blogs that directly addresses the war for talent that small and mid-sized businesses are facing today. Below, I’ve included a link to each blog for you.

I sincerely encourage you to take the time to read thrugh each of these with the hope that you will be able to take away at least one small thing from each that will help you begin to transform your organization.
